What is PRIHATIN Kasih?

  • PRIHATIN Kasih is a provision of cashless food aid under the PEMERKASA stimulus package announced in March 2021
  • The objective of PRIHATIN Kasih is to help with the cost of living for the poor and urban poor
  • PRIHATIN Kasih recipients will receive a monthly cashless allowance of RM 100 for a total duration of three (3) months via their MyKad account:

    Selangor, Kuala Lumpur July 2021
    Kelantan, Johor, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perlis, Perak, Melaka, Terengganu August 2021
    Negeri Sembilan, Labuan, Pahang, Putrajaya, Sabah, Sarawak September 2021 – October 2021
  • Designated retail outlets participating in the cashless food aid programme have MyKasih’spayment system infrastructure set up within their premises
    1. PRIHATIN Kasih currently has over 300 retail partners nationwide including like Mydin, Giant, Econsave, The Store, Pacific, Milimewa, 99 Speedmart, Lotus Stores (Tesco), as well as independent supermarkets and mini marts
    2. Recipients may purchase items within 10 approved product categories ie rice, noodles, bread, biscuits, eggs, seasoning, flour, cooking oil, canned food and beverages

Who is eligible for PRIHATIN Kasih?

  • Families which have been identified through Welfare Department’s (JKM) data and the e-Kasih database and have been verified against the Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) data
    1. Eligible recipients will receive an SMS from MyKasih informing them of their confirmed status as a recipient under the programme, as well as the date and time for the orientation briefing session at the nearest participating retail outlet

How do I apply for PRIHATIN Kasih?

No application required. Recipients will be identified from those already registered in the government’s database.
